Last Moments

The young night, the moon was bright;

The cool breeze, the time was right.

The diamond ring, a bunch of rose;

How hard yet loving was to write the prose.

I have waited long for this moment,

Rapid heartbeats subduing my excitement.

The medical devices, the hospital bed;

How unearthly gorgeous she looked in red!

The oxygen mask, a dash of smile;

The ray of hope in her eyes for a while.

A kiss on her forehead and a warm embrace,

So peaceful and contented was her pale face.
